I'm almost embarrassed to post this recipe as it's so simple and because the main ingredient (ahem, the franks) don't represent the healthy cooking that I have adapted over the last few years but these were my Granny's recipe and come December, I long for her prescence at holiday gatherings. And even though whipping up her recipe doesn't suffice for her being here with us, I can experience a taste of the goodness she embodied.
The sauce is so good that it masks any hint of a hot dog or Little Smokie being not good for us. Friends always request this recipe and I am happy to now have a home on the web to send them to get their own copy.
