You must go here.
The West Coast Game Park Safari is a true hands-on zoo/safari experience. This interactive zoo allows you to not just view wildlife but to actually touch and interact with leopards, chimps, panthers, bears and our family favorite, capybaras.
This place is amazing.
This is not a normal zoo!
Located in Bandon, Oregon, just south of Coos Bay on the Oregon Coast's scenic Highway 101, this park is described as the United State's largest wild animal petting park!
A family favorite destination, the park offers the opportunity to foster a love and respect for wildlife and an educational experience that changes with each visit.
We made the trek down the coastal 101 highway more than once to experience this unique safari.
We could have stayed for hours.
You can get so close and up-personal with so many animals and birds that you could never interact with in a typical zoo setting.
We've visited the Game Park in the fall and then during the winter (late December) and found the animals out and about on both occasions. The damper winter weather did not change the experience.
The featured animals are those that are allowed for petting and special showings in which park guests get the opportunity to interact with. You are guaranteed to have a close encounter with an exotic animal, although the hands-on interactions are limited to babies.
This is always the highlight of our visits.
The animal handlers provide ample time for interactions and photos.
I can't forget to mention the leaping lemurs that will surprise you with a landing on your shoulder in the gift shop on your way out.
The park boasts itself as "Oregon's largest, totally self-supporting wildlife attraction, dedicated to propagation, preservation and education while reminding all that extinction lasts forever."

Bandon beaches boast gorgeous sandy places to explore.
Our favorite place to stay.
Memory making at its best.
This fluffy guy loves the magnificent views and Bandon's beaches.
Don't miss this unforgettable opportunity.
