{Best Christmas Appetizer Recipes} The Best Spinach Dip Ever! {no mayo}
Best Spinach Dip Ever (no mayo)!
I will go on record that this is the best spinach dip ever. With cream cheese, sour cream and parmesan cheese all swirled into one delicious dip, there is no denying that this dip wins out every time.
I am not a consumer of mayonaise. I have never mustered the ability to like it, let alone, to include it in my favorite recipes. Spinach Dip is traditionally laden with the stuff however this recipe is mayo-free and it still tastes amazing.
My most requested appetizer is this Spinach Dip prepared in a round loaf of bread.
1 package (10 oz.) frozen spinach, thawed and dried
1/2 - 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 envelope dry vegetable (or leek) soup mix, Knorr makes a good one
1 tsp. garlic
Instructions:
Mix and refrigerate at least two hours. I like to serve it in a toasted, sourdough round loaf of bread with the middle scooped out to serve as the bowl. I toast bite-sized pieces of sourdough bread to dip into the dip.
Tips: During the holidays, it looks great to serve this green-accented dip with red pepper strips or to accent with a sprig of fresh rosemary on top. Try toasting the loaf of bread after the dip is mainly gone...mmm!
